On the occasion of the First death anniversary of Fr. Abraham Panampara on 11 June, 2013. The Bosco Ashram, Ponnur had Holy Eucharist celebrated by Fr K.S. Joseph, the Rector and Parish Priest. Faithful from all the sub-stations of the parish participation in the Holy Mass. A book titled ‘Athmalanu Kaapaadina Prabhu Anucharulu’ was released on the life and works of Fr.Abraham Panampara, compiled and edited by Fr. P.Arul Das sdb. After the Holy Mass, Br.Jack, Mr. Joji and Fr. P Arul Das shared their experiences about Fr. Abraham Panampara.
On 11 June, 2013 at 6:30 pm the Ponnur Don Bosco Parish had Holy Eucharist Celebration on the occasion of Fr. Abraham Panampara’s first death anniversary, the founder of Bosco Ashram Ponnur. People came from all the sub-stations of Parish and fondly remembered Fr. Abraham Panampara. In the homily, Fr. K.S.Joseph the Rector and Parish Priest, highlighted that Fr. Abraham Panampara was ‘A missionary till the very end’ and he always had soft corner for the Poor and needy. A book titled ‘Athmalanu Kaapaadina Prabhu Anucharulu’ was released by Fr. K.S.Joseph on the life and works of Fr.Abraham Panampara, compiled and edited by Fr. P.Arul Das sdb. After the Holy Mass, Br.Jack, Mr. Joji and Fr. P Arul Das shared their experiences about Fr. Abraham Panampara.
A missionary after the heart of Christ, Fr.Abraham Panampara answered the Clarion call of Jesus who commanded his disciples: “go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature” (Mk 16:15). It is the Spirit who impelled him to proclaim the great mercy of God wherever he worked. The Proclamation of the good news had become his only motive in life and everything else became means to achieve this sole aim of his life. Fr.Abraham Panampara lived his life and carried out his ministry with passion for God and his people. He lived an exemplary religious and priestly life always caring for the poor. Fr.Abraham Panampara is no more. But his missionary legacy still lives on
