Don Bosco Shrine, Bandlaguda Jagir, Hyderabad, 9 December 2023: Don Bosco Shrine Parish organized a Retreat for the Catechism Children today from 9.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. in the Vecchi Hall. In the inaugural ceremony Fr Rayappa, the Parish Priest stressed on the elements of prayer and reflection. He motivated the Children to create a serene environment where children could contemplate and connect with their spirituality.
The team of experts led by Fr Vanga Joseph, sdb., animated the Children as a preparation for Christmas. Fr Joji Yeruva, sdb, Province Youth Director, Fr Charan, former Youth Director, Mr Anthic and Mrs Smriti youth co-ordinators were the resource persons. They dealt with topics on faith, know your Bible, Do Cat and on lives of Saints. In addition, the sessions focused on deepening the children’s understanding of their faith, including interactive discussions, Bible readings, and activities that helped them connect spiritually. In the vote of thanks, Fr Rayappa, thanked the Teachers, animators and organizers for Organizing the retreat for the Catechism children that involved a thoughtful planning to create a meaningful and engaging experience. The impact of the retreat for Catechism children was profound and far-reaching, influencing various aspects of their lives.
Through interactive activities, group exercises, and shared experiences, the retreat fosters a sense of community among the children. The retreat ended with a Holy Eucharist that allowed children to contemplate their beliefs, values, and personal connection to their faith.
