Fr Fabio with Salesians and Children at DBRC, RamanthapurRamanthapur 3 November: Don Bosco Rehabilitation Centre (DBRC), was blessed with the visit of the Regional Councilor for Youth Pastoral Fr. Fabio Attard and his team and all the Delegates of Don Bosco Youth Animation –South Asia. There were about 35 delegates from 11 provinces in India and Sri Lanka. Fr. Fabio and Fr. Miguel Angel one of the youth pastoral team member was accompanied by the Provincial Fr. Balaraju.

All the inmates of the DBRC and staff members gathered at the gate to receive our honorable guests with traditional welcome ‘harati’ and the Rector Fr. Sudhakar Bellamkonda, welcomed them and guest were accompanied with the band to the hall for a short felicitation and short presentation of the YaR services in the province and child safety net, Human rights education and OOTA (well springs) which was presented by Fr. TD John. The Rector said that it is a privilege to have so many Salesians visiting these children during this year of Bi-centenary of Birth of Don Bosco. Their presence will make them feel that they belong to the large Salesian Family. During this short programme Fr. Fabio, Fr. Balaraju, Fr. Miguel Angel and Fr. Maria Charles were felicitated by the children of the DBRC.

Fr Fabio in his words said that he had spent 5 years in the Technical school at Malta and he knew about work and services offered in skill training. He always told to his boys, “We are here to help you for your bright & glorious future. If you are not going to make use of our service your life will be in vain. Life is a challenge; it’s up to you whether to accept it or to deny it”. He concluded with a message received by him from one of his old students written on the Face Book, where it is said: “In Don Bosco I had home and I got a good future”.

All the Delegates of Don Bosco Youth Animation – South Asia had a guided tour to the non-formal training centre, namely, printing press, computers, garment making &Tailoring, Carpentry, Welding and Bakery. As the visitors were leaving the campus our children were restless to tie friendships bands as a token of gratitude for their visit and making them happy and joyful through their loving presence.
