Hyderabad, 8 November: The Salesian Family members gathered together in Don Bosco Provincial house, Hyderabad, to celebrate and reflect deeply over the theme GC 27 ‘witnesses to the radical approach of the Gospel’ work and temperance. The SDBs, FMAs and co-operators gathered to celebrate the Salesian Family day.
The program was organized by the Salesian Family delegate Fr. Kishore. The Provincial of Hyderabad Fr. Balaraju invited the members to build a strong bound within the Salesian family members. The vice-provincial Fr. Thathireddy had invited the participants to network more affectively to grow as one family. He recalled the work of Don Bosco, who wanted to continue his works with the helping hands of the co-operators and lay people.
Reflecting on th
e theme GC 27, to witness the gospel being lived in a radical manner is a call from God. With the gift of the Salesian Family to the congregation that God has given to each of us are called to witness to the Gospel. The invitation to each of the Salesian Family is to become someone who is ‘called to be a mystic in the Spirit, a prophet of fraternity and a servant of the young’. Witnessing is first of all a vocational gift and therefore a task and a responsibility.
