Nellore, 8 December: The first of the four Deacons of the Salesian Province of Hyderabad, Dc. Rayulu Sarath Babu Parri was ordained by Bp. Moses. D.Prakasam, of the diocese of Nellore, on December 8, 2014. The Ordination, attended by nearly 80 priests (both Salesian and Diocesan) and many faithful, was held in St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Santhapet, Nellore.
Having completed his theological studies at Benediktbeuern, Germany received the blessing of the Bishop and was ordained a priest, during the Holy Mass which began at 5.30 pm. Representing the Salesians were Fr. Provincial (Fr Raminedi Balaraju), The Vice Provincial (Fr. Thathireddy Vijay Bhaskar) and the Vice Provincial of German Province & two friends from Germany, Provincial Councillors and several other priests, clerics and sisters and Faithful.
