Don Bosco Mission Complex Mariapuram was in full of joy and happy in remembering Bicentenary of the birth of St John Bosco the father of youth. The programme held at Don Bosco High School on 30th January 2015 around 5:00pm. Mr Karunaker the MEO of Vardhannapet was invited as the chief guest of the programme. Fr George the rector of the community felicitated the Chief Guest with shawl. Fr Principal very briefly presented school report and explored the Salesian teaching method to the parents that of “preventive system”.
“Burrakatha” was the highlight of the day where in which the life sketch of Don Bosco was presented to the audience. Special importance was given in showing various Indian folks, traditional dances in state wise to the audience to encourage developing a spirit of “diverse.” Dances on Don Bosco were also very much attracted people. Students who won during sports day in various athletics and games were distributed prizes by chief guest. Also Cricket tournaments and Volley ball tournaments winning teams also received trophy and prize money from the chief guest. More than thousand people presented to view this programme. By God’s grace everything went on well and many of them came to know about St John Bosco.
