DSC_4949Hyderadab, 4-5 Feb 2015: The Young Priests’ of INH Province had meeting in Provincial House under the title “Being a Religious today changes, challenges, choices”, the two days programmed was conducted by the Vice – Provincial, Fr. Vijay Bhaskar. The first session was animated by the Provincial, Fr. Balaraju. The second day sessions were taken by Mr. Leo Fernandez, a well known corporate expert in preparing the leaders for the i – world.

We began the first session with a prayer and lighting of the lamp. Fr. Vice – Provincial introduced us the topic and welcomed the New Priests’ of the Province secondly Fr. Balaraju animated the session, focusing on the challenges that Religious face today. He stressed on the topic “Communitarian & Communion”. He urged the young priests’ to change our attitude from communitarianism to communion. He stressed on the need to be communicative in the community to be more effective in the mission.

DSC_4952The second and third sessions were animated by the Vice Provincial and there were more interactive. We found an ambience of sharing of our experiences and clarifying which are not clear with regard to action plans of the further youth Programme. Fr. Thatti, elaborated the need to focus our ministry to young frontiers. He based himself from the Salesian Youth Ministry Department’s manual “Salesian youth Ministry”.

A part from the sessions in the hall, we also had tug-of-war in the field of game. The young priests’ were divided into two groups. They had volleyball, & basketball matches. All participated joyfully and enjoyed the game rather than winning the game.

In the evening, all the New Priests’ gathered around the Eucharist table for prayers and Holy Mass. The Liturgy was well animated by the Provincial.

DSC_4942The second day was animated by Mr. Leo Fernandez a corporate expert who engaged himself to motivate young people to face the challenges. The sessions were more activity oriented; the participant’s actively participated in the sessions. Mr. Leo, articulated his ideas under three main concepts. The three concepts are Authenticity, Relevance, & Compass. He oriented his concepts from the perspective of both individual and community.

The inputs were mostly reflective and asking each ones attention to be responsible for the choices that we make to be relevant and authentic in the Mission field.
