Consecrated Life: A Path of Selfless Love: Vishwa Jyothi Don Bosco college Karunapuram celebrated the Annual College Day on 27th November 2015. Around 250 members were present for this event. The theme of this year’s college day was on “Consecrated Life: A Path of Selfless Love”. We began the day with the Holy Eucharist. It was presided over by Fr.Sudhakar the parish priest of Karunapuram.
It was systematically organized by the college students and the celebrant was felicitated by Fr.Kishore sdb the rector of the community. After the mass the prizes were distributed by him to the winners of various competitions. In the evening, there was a grand cultural programme animated by different groups. The chief guest of the day was Rev.Sr.Tessy DPMT the provincial superior of presentation sisters and the presence of Fr.Yeruva Joji sdb the Vice Provincial, graced the event.
All the superiors of various communities took part in this celebration. Most of the items were performed on the theme of consecrated life. It consisted of various dances, songs, and a musical play. At the end of the programme, the chief guest delivered inspiring message. As Per the academic time table, the College magazine “Jnana Jyothi” was released on the title “Consecrated Life in the Technological Era”. It was released by Fr.Yeruva Joji Reddy sdb, the vice-Provincial of St.Joseph’s Province, Hyderabad after which he distributed the prizes to the students for excelling in the field of academic performance both in BPH and BA. At the end of the programme sumptuous meal was given to guests.
