Don Bosco ITI, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, 8th August 2019: On 8th June 2019, Don Bosco I.T.I Guntur organized a “Job Fair”. With his words of welcome, Fr Talari Sanjay, the Principal of the college had started the Job Fair. He also introduced the HRs of the companies. Indeed it was indeed a golden opportunity for the technical students of our college both present and past to review their practical knowledge in their specific trade as per the company’s expectations.
Renowned companies namely, ITC (Indian Tobacco Company), Guntur and Krishna Patnam Port from Nellore had willingly come forward for the job recruitment in our campus. Initially, the HRs of these companies had an introductory programme with our students and gave the essential information. The students had a good interaction session with these representatives of the companies.
This Job Fair was organized for the fresh outgoing students of the institute of the three trades in Fitter, Electricals and Motor Mechanics. It was an apt time to provide this opportunity for these technical students, as they plan and design their future carrier to settle in jobs and to stand up to support their families. There were fifty seven students who had participated in this “Job Fair”, as per their standard and technical skills. Two of them were also selected for the job in UAE (United Arab Emirates) a country in the Middle East. The Job fair made an impact, created a ray of hope and assurance for the students and for their career in future.
We whole heartedly thank and appreciate these companies who came forward to create this opportunity for the students and to raise the practical demand in the technical areas.
