Don Bosco ITI, Guntur, 7-8 March 2020: Purpose of Industrial Visit was 1) To interact the students with actual industry personals 2) To make them aware of the industrial procedures required to enter in any company 3) To experience the working environment in industry and visualize the all the important departments in the Industry 4) Interaction of students with the peoples of all important departments 5) To prepare the students for the selection of carrier path in different departments of industry.
An industrial visit to MSME Tool Room – HYD (Central Institute of Tool Design – Hyderabad) – was organized by Don Bosco ITI – Guntur, AP, to enhance the student’s knowledge on practical advance technology and to give an idea about latest technology used in industries. About 74 Students accompanied by 8 staff members by two Acharya Nagarjuna University (Guntur) buses reached the Centre at around 11.00 am and were received by the staff who guided them to the initial introduction about the imitation. Here, the students and faculty members met Mr Srinivas, the assistant supervisor of the institute, who briefed them about the organization and functions of the MSME Tool Room. The students were divided into five groups and led by different head of the departments who gave them practical knowledge about different CNC machines which are available in the centre and their functions.
The students are privileged to visit Samsung smart classes in the same campus run by the same organisation where students were explained how technology can be incorporated in industries in the present era. CNC machines of various kinds were introduced. After the lunch break, the trainees went to Madhu Precision & Engineering works run by our past pupil from Kadapa. Here, the instructed the students how the elevators are manufactured and fixed with advance technology. The trainees visited Pre-Mould & Engineering Pvt Ltd – Hyd around 5 pm and given brief explanation about the functional procedures of CNC mechanism and new technology that is setting in technical field. The students interacted with the machine operators directly. On the other hand, students also raised their queries regarding the machines that they are exposed with.
On the second day, the students visited Birla Temple, Nehru Zoological Park, Charminar and NTR park as part of their visit to Hyderabad. The trainees felt happy and expressed that it was a fruitful visit to know how an industry functions.
ITI students sincerely thanked Mr Prasad from Bharath Dynamic Limited, the past pupil from Ravulapalem and Kadapa who obtained necessary permissions from these institutions and was with the staff and students during this visit.
