Distribution of Rice, Dal, Potatoes, Oil and Snacks to the migrants, daily wage employees, elderly and destitutes

Don Bosco Nava Nirman in Muniguda, Odisha, 4 April 2020: Don Bosco Nava Nirman in Muniguda fed the migrants, destitutes, and the elderly caught in the nationwide lockdown due to contain Corona Virus.

It started with desperate WhatsApp call. Fr P Arul Das, Director immediately convened a meeting of the Don Bosco Nava Nirman and decided to distribute provisions (Rice, Dal, Potatoes, oil and Snacks) to migrants, destitute, elderly and daily wage labours. Meanwhile Fr Anil approached the Tahasildar to seek permission to distribute the groceries.

The imposition of 21-day lockdown as one of the ways to stop the spreading Corona Virus, but the most affected are migrants, daily wage employees, elderly and destitute.

Don Bosco Nava Nirman became doers rather than being mere spectators as the deadly Virus created havoc globally. The community of Don Bosco Nava Nirman in Muniguda distributed the provision kits to the most vulnerable people: women, children, differently abled, the marginalized and the displaced.
It’s a hope that ‘little act of charity’ would influence more people to become generous in coming days.
