St John’s Regional Seminary, Kondadaba, 5 April 2020: The Corona Virus Pandemic is affecting tens of thousands of people acutely, including loss of work and a lack of medical care and food supplies. The outbreak has had a significant impact on the most vulnerable populations, including the elderly and children.

In this vulnerable crisis, St John’s Regional Seminary undertakes relief distribution delivering essential groceries (Rice-4 kg, Dal-1 Kg, Oil-1 ltr) to the affected families especially those who do not have ration card; immigrant workers and poorest of the poor at Kothavalasa and in the surrounding villages. Fr Mallavarapu Rayanna, with Fr Gaddam Carlo and other Salesians, brothers, V.R.O and Grama Volunteers visited door to door and delivered the food kits to nearly 100 families. Many of its local people are struggling with lack of basic supplies during the outbreak.
