Don Bosco Mission Ravulapalem, 25, December 2019: Christmas is the season of joy, peace, and happiness. It is a symbolic time for living in peace and love. We are reminded that we should share, give to the less privileged, spend time with loved ones and have a positive outlook about life in general.
Here in Don Bosco Mission – the celebration began much before in the form of carols. For at least two weeks Fr Rayappa Madanu, the Parish Priest visited different villages celebrating the season of Advent through Carols in different houses of the parish.
Parish youth came forward and decorated the main Church for the celebration. The Salesians have gathered for the night vigil Mass in the parish church. Fr Vattigunta Ignatius celebrated the Holy Eucharist. After the Holy Mass the parishioners gathered for tea snacks and had fun and frolic. On the following day, The Parish Priest with other Salesians viz., Fr Blathazar Illuri, the Rector, Fr Marreddy Gopu, the administrator and Fr Punnuse John had meaningful celebrations of the Holy Mass in all the substations – Podagatlapalli, Mummadivarapadu, Eethakota, Enugulamahal, Devarapalli, Narkedimilli a
nd Vadapalli.
On the other hand, the Christmas celebrations were held in the school on 21st December. All the children came with the festive attire and made the day. They put up colourful programmes. Fr Ponnuse John gave a message and distributed prizes to the winners.
