Don Bosco School, Muniguda, Odisha, 22 December 2019: Christmas is the festival which inspires the spirit of sharing and caring. On 22nd December, Don Bosco School, Muniguda celebrated Christmas with great fervour and enthusiasm. The entire school vibrated with the echoes of Christmas carols. There was the Christmas tree decorated with lamps, toys, and flowers in one corner of the hall. Students of the school made a crib to celebrate the birth of Jesus. The stage was decorated too with Merry Christmas and Happy New Year tags. The Salesians, staff and students celebrated both the events (Christmas Day and Welcoming of New Year) together. It doubled joy for everyone.
The students welcomed the Rector, Principal and all the staff. The programmes started with the prayers to Almighty led by Fr. KS Joseph. Everybody prayed for the permanent existence of love and peace in this violent-torn world. To begin with, the Rector Fr P Arul Das wished the students Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year. He delivered an inspiring Christmas message: Christmas is about Giving, Caring and Loving.
The Students sang melodious carols and danced beautifully to wish their teachers and classmates. The story of the birth of Lord Jesus and the legend of Santa Claus was enacted. A special Christmas cake was shared with all the Children of the school. As a sign of sharing there was an exchange of gifts among the staff. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was amply visible on the faces of the children especially when Santa moved around distributing sweets to them.
