Don Bosco Pre-Novitiate, Wyra, 20 December 2019: “The word became flesh” is the Bible verse on which the community of Don Bosco Pre-Novitiate, Wyra reflected for the Semi-Christmas celebrations. Primarily, the community had a nine-day novena preparation for the Solemnity of Christmas.
On 20th December, the community had Semi-Christmas celebrations. In the morning there was an animated morning prayer conducted by Fr Sebastian John. Instantly, the preparations began for the evening programme at 6 pm. There was the Eucharist presided over by Fr Salibindla Marreddy who commemorated the first anniversary of his ordination. After the mass, there was a blessing of the crib which prepared by a group of Pre-novices. “His love knows no end” was the theme they tried to communicate through their artwork. There was a cultural programme of Music, Dance and Christmas skits prepared by the Pre-novices with the help of Bros Velangini and Kranthi. The FMA’s and the boarding children both boys and girls were present for the mass and the programme. After the programme. a sumptuous meal was offered by the administrator.
The entire day filled with awe and fun. Every bit of preparation had reminded the great mystery, God becoming man. Finally, there was a joy and happiness on the faces of everyone in the community as they received their Christmas gift of their choice from the hands of Santa Claus.
