Bosco Ashram, Ponnur, 8 May 2020: Charity begins at home and its proven at Bosco Ashram Ponnur in reaching out to the poor and needy in its vicinity. The daily feeding and the distribution has been carrying out from day one as solidarity towards Covid-19.
Fr Louis Chinnabathuni, the Parish Priest motivated people to help around 60 needy and the destitutes through daily distribution of breakfast at Railway station, Nidubrolu, Ponnur. Subsequently, distributed Hygiene & Health Safety Kits (Soaps, Face Masks and Fruits) at Pedda Itikampadu, Vallabarayapalem, and Rosary Colony. Nearly 35 -40 people were given these kits in each substation of the Parish, to fight covid-19 pandemic. The catechists were actively involved in this noble act of distribution while instructing the people to form attitudes in mind to wash hands regularly, wearing masks and using sanitizers.
