PARA, Child Friendly City, Rajahmundry, 8 May 2020: One of the main activities of PARA has been to protect the rights of the children at Rajahmundry town for two years while conducting awareness programmes, sessions on rights the children. About 32 other Non-Governmental institutions and organizations have joined with PARA in being with the children protecting and fighting for their rights. However, in this Corona Virus Pandemic, the semi orphans and orphans under Child Friendly City Project were most affected without food and necessities due to lock-down. Thus, PARA along with other NGOs have selected 100 of those children extending help with Rs 57,000. The essential commodities, Food and Hygiene & Health Safety kits were distributed to them. Fr Vattigunta Ignatius, Director, PARA thanked the Child Friendly City Joint Action Committee in this noble act of rescuing those most affected children due to Covid-19.
