Navajeevan Bala Bhavan, Vijayawada, 1 May 2021: Forum for Migrants is an initiative of Navajeevan Bala Bhavan which aims to identify the unorganized sector “Migrants” especially the children who are most vulnerable and weak. It organizes bridge schools, Medical Camps, facilitates life documents viz., Aadhaar Card, Ration card etc. Furthermore, the Forum for Migrants brings awareness on Government Schemes, advocating for their rights and just wages while working incessantly towards their empowerment. Another key objective of the Forum is to trace their whereabouts due to Covid-19 and to reach out to them when they approach the Forum. Thus, the innovative hint was to launch the helpline number 9642 372 372. Fr Neelam Ratna sdb, the Director, availed a helpline number.
Fr Biju Michael, the Regional Councilor for South Asia launched the All-India Helpline number in major languages in an online webinar with 60 participants of Don Bosco Forum for Migrants on 1 May 2021. Fr Biju Michael, congratulated the YaR India, headed by Fr Tony and his collaborators.
