Bosco Seva Kendra, Don Bosco Provincial House, 25 March 2021: CSO Conclusion program was held at Bosco Seva Kendra, Don Bosco Provincial House, Hyderabad.
The CSO Conclusion program was blessed by the presence of Rev. Fr Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, sdb, Chief Guest, Provincial, Salesian Province of Hyderbad and Guest of Honour, Rev. Fr Maddhichetty Noel, sdb, Director, Bosco Net, New Delhi. Welcome words were given by Rev.Fr Bellamkonda Sudhakar, Executive Director of Bosco Seva Kendra Hyderabad.
80 CSOs from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state participated in CSO Conclusion program. Fr Sudhakar had given a detailed power point presentation of Civil Society Organizations journey and their success. Fr Sudhakar in his words expressed that the Civil Society Organization (CSO) Program was developed by BoscoNet, Delhi, the Mission Procure Office for the Salesians in South Asia to advance fellowship, dialogue and partnership with CSOs operating in India. The goal of this program is to build a national network of CSOs to work collectively to advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 particularly poverty alleviation, zero hunger, gender equality, through rights education.
With the help of Don Bosco Mondo, Germany in partnership with BoscoNet, Delhi, the PDO offices of Hyderabad and Goa sought to build a network of 90 CSOs in each of these respective regions to advance this program. Over the past year and a half, the CSO Program has been effectively implemented in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States. Our network of 121 CSOs will play an active role in advancing the welfare of poor families, youth, women and children in our region. The CSO Program is perhaps the first of its kind in India where a network has been created between grassroots organization and charitable institutions working collectively for the welfare of the community. We thank the efforts of our donors, staff members, directors and institutional partners for helping BSK in developing this program. We look forward to working closely with our partners going forward.
Later, Mr Louis Manohar, National Coordinator, Bosco Net, New Delhi, had taken session on CSO trainings impact. He had taken all CSOs feedback and testimonials.
Rev. Fr Noel Maddhichetty, Director Bosco Net, New Delhi congratulated all CSO participants on completion of their CSO trainings organized by BSK, also congratulated BSK for their effort in making CSO program successful. Rev. Fr Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, Provincial, Salesian Province of Hyderabad, have given his speech on role of CSOs. In his words how CSOs of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana played an important role during pandemic situations of COVID 19, for distribution of food and hygiene kits with the help of BSK. Father Provincial congratulated all CSOs for their successful completion of their CSO training. Later on Fr Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, Fr Noel and Fr Sudhakar had distributed CSO Completion Certificates to all participants.
Fr Sarath Parry sdb, Assistant Director of BSK had hosted all day program with his beautiful words and praised all CSOs for participating all 5 trainings without fail. He congratulated BSK staff for their tremendous effort for making CSO program a grand success. At end of the CSO Conclusion program day vote of thanks was given by Mr Bhanu Nimmathota CSO INH Regional Coordinator, Mr Chandra Sekahr CSO Field Coordinator and Mr Joel Fernandez, CSO Field Coordinator and project writer.
