Don Bosco Premnivas, Mangalagiri, 13 June 2021: The Past Pupil Unit of Don Bosco School, Mangalagiri has been continually active for the last few days. They have been helping the staff who were affected by Corona Pandemic. When two of the presently working staff demised due to Covid and due to non-availability of oxygen in time, they felt deeply sorry. This incident motivated them to expand their services to other poor and needy who cannot afford to hire a vehicle to go to hospital, those people who do not have any one to attend to their needs. They started helping people in the hospitals and outside the hospitals with the supplies of food and medicine for free. They felt it is not enough. They wished to take another step ahead. This is where they had an idea of providing transport services to the poor for free of cost.
Hence, the Past Pupils mobilized and collected monetary fund from friends and other agencies and managed to get an Omni Van. This noble Emergency Service was inaugurated on 13 June 2021. The chief guest Mr Kommuru Kanakarao, Chairman of SC finance corporation, Andhra Pradesh, Special Guest Father Garlapati Michael Kishore, sdb, Province past pupil’s delegate, Father Parokaran Jose, sdb, in charge of the Past Pupil Unit of Don Bosco School, Mangalagiri and other guests of honour were present for the inaugural ceremony.
