A wave of holiness encompassed Assumption Church, Pezzonipeta, Vijayawada, on 25 of November as the celebrations of the Sacred Sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation and Holy Communion commenced. In the midst of hundreds of parishners and Fr Raminedi Balaraju the Provincial of Hyderabad, 70 boys and girls of the parish after a two-week long preparation received their first holy communion on the day of solemnity of Christ the King.Eucharistic Lord accompanied by Fr Chinnappa and the faithful The day's sacredness is still enriched by a spiritually animated adoration (Maha Aradhana) at RCM school, Pezzonipeta followed by the Eucharistic procession. The new communicants, students school and the faithful accompanied the Eucharistic Christ with Candles and devotional chants. The evenings programme holy mass animated by Fr Vijaya Anand. Kudos to Fr. Mariadas, the parish priest for the planning and implementation of this faith-enhancing venture with the involvement of the parish youth and councilor.
