The youth of Assumption parish, Pezzonipet spent their Sankrathi vacation listening to the promptings of the spirit in a two-day retreat animated by Mr. Jude and team from Hyderabad. It was awe-inspiring to see the youth dedicating two days, 13th and 14th leaving aside their holidays to sit at the feet of the Master. The lively presence and sharing of Rev. Msgr. Fr. Chinnappa, at the inauguration of this spiritual retreat made its impact on the youth. The youth confessions, benedictions services, Holy Eucharists succored the retreatants strengthened their faith. Cooperation from the elders of the parish, assistance from Mr. NSC. Solomonraj and his team, Fr. Mariadas’ presence and translation of the talks was much appreciated by the youth and the organizers.
A refreshing picnic on 15th for the youth arranged by Fr. Mariadas to Manasa–Sarovar and Bird-sanctuary at Uppalapadu, boosted the spirits of the youth and gave a familial touch to this spiritual event. This is a beneficial opportunity provided for the parish's youngsters to pray, to mingle with one another and to grow as mature youngsters of God.
