Don Bosco College, Pedaboddepalli organized a summer camp, for the youngsters of the locality from 10th to 24th April. Inaugurated by Fr. Rayappa, the Principal, and the meticulously planned by Bros Prashanth and Marreddy, this camp succeeded in empowering 120 marginalized rural youth of the surrounding villages. Computer and Spoken English are given prominence in the sessions as the youngsters of the neighbourhood needed to be adept in these fields to excel in their studies and carrier. Besides spoken english and computers the emphasise was also given to life skills and communications skills. The youngsters relished the feel at home atmosphere created by Salesians and enjoyed by actively participating in family gatherings. Making the students aware of the contemporary working trends and equip them with the skills necessary was also another agenda of the camp.
