Don Bosco Provincial House, 18 March 2024: On March 18, 2024, Rev. Fr Noel Maddichetty led a significant Electrical Vehicle (EV) skill-building program at BSK, Hyderabad, under DB Net, targeting Technical Directors from the Don Bosco Technical Commission. Mr. Subhankar and Mr. Vinod from the Centre of Excellence (COE), New Delhi highlighted the session, focusing on innovations in EV technology, including battery efficiency and charging infrastructure. The discussion also covered the establishment of new EV units, showcasing the industry’s growth and potential for collaboration with DB technical units.
ISIEINDIA.COM was praised for its role in enhancing the EV industry through effective partnerships with various sectors, reaching over three lakhs individuals and achieving a 71% market penetration. Despite these successes, challenges in building a supportive ecosystem for the EV sector were acknowledged. The session forecasted the creation of 50 million job opportunities in the EV field, underlining the industry’s promising future.
Fr Noel emphasized the critical need for integrating EV courses into technical curricula and the continuous upskilling of professionals in the sector. He urged the directors to consider revenue-sharing partnerships and to leverage bank loans for entrepreneurial efforts in the EV space. A strong call was made for proactive engagement in formulating proposals for consideration at the provincial level.
ISIEINDIA introduced customizable EV skilling training platforms, proposing three models of partnerships, with a focus on a vocational training partnership with NGOs as a feasible pilot program. This program aims to integrate EV skilling with existing electrical training at ITI centers, potentially establishing it as a full-fledged ITI trade. The DB Technical Commission of INH is tasked with further developing and presenting the plan for approval by the provincial council.
This initiative represents a transformative step towards integrating technical education with the burgeoning field of electric mobility, promising to significantly impact the sector’s growth and sustainability. Through collaborative efforts and strategic planning, the program aims to enrich the lives of countless individuals and pave the way for a greener future.
