Don Bosco Shrine in Bandlaguda Jagir, Hyderabad, February 10, 2024: The Don Bosco Shrine in Bandlaguda Jagir, Hyderabad, bore witness to an exhilarating showcase of athleticism and camaraderie as 12 parishes from across the city converged to partake in the Inter-Parish Youth Sports League organized by Don Bosco Youth. Held on February 10, 2024, the event boasted a diverse array of sporting competitions, encompassing Volleyball, Badminton Men Singles, Football U15, Badminton Men Doubles, Men’s Table Tennis, Women’s Badminton, and Women’s Throw Ball.
The festivities commenced with a dynamic Opening Ceremony at 8:30 am in the school auditorium, igniting the atmosphere with palpable energy. The Don Bosco Choir set a reverent tone with a stirring prayer song, while esteemed priests, led by Father B. Rayappa, Parish Priest, delivered inspiring messages to the eager participants. The ceremony reached its crescendo with captivating performances, including a spirited flag parade by the Don Bosco Youth and an electrifying dance by Nileeshe from the Sanath Nagar Parish.
Following a day replete with spirited competitions, participants and spectators alike convened for a well-deserved lunch break at 2:30 pm. The fervor persisted into the evening as the competitions culminated at 6:30 pm with an unforgettable closing ceremony. The audience was enthralled by a captivating dance performance by the Don Bosco Youth before the eagerly anticipated prize distribution ceremony unfolded. The event drew to a poignant close with a heartwarming photo session and a gracious vote of thanks delivered by Father Joji, the youth Animator.
