Don Bosco Mission, Kollapur 23 November: Kollapur is one of the mission centers of our province. Fr Alex, visited the mission station in an Island called “Seemala Tippa”, which is located 17 km away from Kollapur. This mission station consists of 40 families migrated from Vizag and Srikakulam. This place could be reached by boat from Amaragiri which takes at least 40 to 60 mts to arrive at. No electricity, no school and no other resources are available. Even to get minimum things, they have to travel 17 km in the water by boat. This place was initially visited and initiated by late Fr. Abraham Panampara, 5 years ago.
Fr. Alex along with Br. Suresh and with few youngsters made a visit and conducted prayers. At the end of prayer, Fr. Alex blessed all those 40 houses as a sign of our presence with them, thus the mission made possible by a renewed initiative, in Kollapur.
