Don Bosco Skill Mission is a Bicentenary gift to the youth of India. Don Bosco Skill Mission was blessed and inaugurated by the Regional Councilor for South Asia, Fr. Maria Arokiam Kanga SDB, on 19 March 2015, in the presence of Salesian Provincials and various government and corporate representatives. In his inaugural address Fr.Maria appreciated DB Tech, for carrying forward Don Boscos’ vision in skilling 200,000 youth and facilitated employment for 70%-80% of the candidates in past 10 years. Wished DB Tech India all success in achieving their mission to train 2 million youth by 2022.
DB Tech had organised 8th National Convention on March 20-21, 2015 – “Redefining Quality and Technology” – focusing mainly on Youth Situation and Impact of Skill Training in India with a Difference for Employable Skills, where different government and corporate had enlightened the audience on the theme. On 23-24, a training programme for senior management and DB Tech National and State staff was organised. Fr.Sojan Puthuserry, Fr.Ratna Neelam, Fr. P. Arul Das had attended the programme from our Province of Hyderabad.
Don Bosco Skill Mission, centre is located at Bannerghata Road, Bangalore, with meeting halls, offices, library, state-of-the-art labs for different vocational courses, conference room, auditorium, residential facilities, staff quarters, etc. Spread over 75,000 sq. ft. area, this beautiful infrastructure will be used for innovating different models and to empower other like-minded organizations to execute various skill training programs. DB Tech envisages to set-up staff training centres catering to the skill development. In coordination with various Governments, private and professional organizations, DB Tech will achieve its mission by innovating various skill training models catering to different youth groups in various geographical locations and needs. Don Bosco Skill Mission is also platform for organizing workshops, conferences, recruitment and placement.
