Don Bosco Jr. College, Chandur, 10 October 2015: Don Bosco Jr. College Celebrated BATHUKAMMA … BALE, BALEas it stands one of the important festivals in Telengana state. During the celebrations the history and cultural background was very specifically highlighted in order to make the students knowledgeable with regard to the festival. The younger generation not really aware of the importance of the feast, the opportunity was provided to the students to know more about the festival.
The Bathukamma meaning live forever. The Bathukamma is made of bunch of natural flowers that grow in the fields. All the students have brought the flower from their own fields. This made the day special. All the students were excited, happy and over joyed after having finished the quarterly examinations.
All the students were encouraged as the Principal Fr. Bhaskar joined for the special Bathukamma dance. In different groups all the students participated in Bathukamma dance. More especially being girls’ special festival all the girls danced around the bunch of flowers called Bathukamma.
The highlight of the programme was the dance of the Principal and Staff. The celebration has given right mode for the upcoming festival Dasara.
