From 27 to 30 June we had the Annual Planning and Evaluation meetings at Don Bosco Provincial House, Hyderabad, for the year 2018 – 2019. It was an outstanding moment of fraternal sharing and mutual respect.
On 27 June, we had the Perpetually Professed Confreres Meet. The morning session began with the presentation of the Road Map towards Provincial Chapter 10, by Fr Thumma Vijay Prathap. The evaluation of the action plan for the Priorities of the Province for the year 2017 – 2018, was the central task of the morning session. The confreres put their minds and hearts together to evaluate and plan for the coming year. The perpetually professed confreres decided upon four priorities. They proceeded in the post lunch session to discuss about various other issues pertaining to the animation and governance of the Province.
28 June, was a day dedicated entirely to assimilate the nuances of Budgetting and the preparation of the Budget for the Individual houses. For this purpose the Rector and Administrator of every house were present. The day was ably animated by Dr Kandasamy from Chennai. The willingness to learn and the seriousness shown by the confreres was inspiring.
On 29 and 30 the all the Rectors, Parish Priests, Center and Commission Heads of the Province gathered at Don Bosco Provincial House, to review the Province Priorities and discuss other important matters co
ncerning the running of the Province. Fr Thumma Prathap presented the Convocation letter of GC 28 and other juridical matters to be discussed during the Chapter. Other discussions like a Review of the Province Priorities, Sustainability Plans, Restructuring and various other Administrative matters concerning the life and mission of the Province.
Apart from the honest and open discussions during the sessions, the informal moments during meals and along the corridors were a real experience of Salesian Fraternity and mutual respect. We thank God and all the people who made these days a fruitful and meaningful one.
