As the young people of the world converge to Panama for the World Youth Day 2019, 700 catholic youth of the Andhra Pradesh gathered together at Gunadala, Vijayawada for the I Youth Faith Fest, from 18 to 20 January 2019, organised by the Salesian Province of St. Joseph, Hyderabad in collaboration with the youth directors of the different Dioceses of Andhra Pradesh, under the grace-filled blessing Most Rev. Polimera Jayarao Bishop of the Eluru / the Bishop Delegate for Youth Ministry and Most Rev. Thelagathoti Raja Rao Bishop of the Vijayawada. 

The Youngsters streamedin at the foot our Lady, figuratively and really, to experience fraternal love and listen to the words of Christ to the World. The animation, the prayers and the Holy Eucharists were a organized to create a charged yet serene atmosphere. The youngsters enjoyed the lighters moments of actions songs and party games, but were enriched by the meaningful talks given by different animators, which led to spiritual growth and greater conviction to lead a holy christian life. This was a reminder to them and to all of us, that Christian living is joyful and brings meaning to life.  The highlight of the event was a great adoration service which was organised, wherein the youngsters and many other laity, spend around 4 hours adoring and worshipping the Lord. 

Let us thank God, for these days of prayerfilled and meaningful days. A word of gratitude to Bishop Polimera Jayarao and Bishop Thelagathoti Raja Rao for their blessings and constant support. The Youth Faith Fest, went on without a glitch thanks to the meticulous planning and execution by the Salesians of the Vijayawada region. Also thanks to all the youngsters whose presence made all the difference.
