On the feast of the presentation of the Lord, 2 February, 2019 we had the solemn consecration and inauguration of the Karunamayudu (Divine Mercy) Shrine at Don Bosco Mission, Rapthadu, Ananthapur.
Way back on 11 July, 2010 the foundation stone was laid for this Shrine dedicated to Divine Mercy, by Fr Mattathilani Abraham, the then Rector and Parish Priest. As God guided the Israelites through the desert, in a similar fashion God guided the construction of this Church, through obstacles and hiccups. It was consecrated and inaugurated by Rt. Rev. Poola Anthony, Bishop of Kurnool on 2 Febraury, 2019 during the Solemn Holy Eucharist, which was con-celebrated by 52 priests. 650 Faithful from the Parish and from the neighbouring parishes attended 
this well arranged spiritual service. The beautifully constructed and ornate chapel, with its majestic cupola and imposing image of the Divine Mercy, automatically inspires the faithful to trust in the mercy of God. 
We thank Bishop Poola Anthony for his support and for celebrating the Holy Eucharist of Consecration. A word of gratitude also to Rev. Fr. Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, the Provincial for his constant support. We would like to congratulate Fr Nali Anthaiah, the Rector and Parish Priest and Fr Thenattil Johny the Assistant Parish Priest and Administrator for successfully completing this long pending project of the Province. Let us glorify God for his merciful love towards each one of us.
