Don Bosco Provincial House, 24 August 2019: The delegate for YaR (Young at Risk), Fr Salibindla Balashowry organized a workshop for the YaR Directors of the Province of St Joseph, Hyderabad at 9.30 am. The YaR Directors of Don Bosco Navajeevans from Secunderabad, Kurnool, Warangal, Vijayawada, Vishakhapatnam and PARA, with their coordinators together with Fr Koshy sdb, Fr Tony sdb, Fr Thomas Aquinas sdb from National YaR team were present for this meeting. A special representative from Government of Telnagana Mr Venkat, Programme Manager for ICPS (Integrated Child Protection Scheme) also participated in the session.
Fr Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, the Provincial of the Province of St Joseph Hyderabad, was present for the session. In his inaugural message, he denoted that every difficulty poses a challenge; and as leaders each one ought to face the challenges leading the young at risk to a safer network. He too hooked on ‘Safety and Education of the Migrant Children’, which is a need of the hour.
The chief theme of the session was ‘Perspective Planning for Imagine YaR Ministry – Joining Together into Tomorrow’. Mr Henry Rosario (former HoD, Social Work, Tirupattur, Tamil Nadu) was the resource person for the day. There were about 20 who participated in said meeting. He led the members to look at the present reality of the YaR Ministry through Group Ministry. In addition, he focussed on the SWOC (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Challenges) analysis to lead towards Yar National Seminar in Mumbai.
The workshop concluded with a vote of Thanks from Fr Rathna, the Director, Don Bosco Navajeevan, Vijayawada.
