Don Bosco Navajeevan, Vishakhapatnam, 22 August 2019: Don Bosco Navajeevan started the formation of Waterwise Clubs to bring awareness among the children, parents and at large the whole the village on “Save our Society by Saving Water” in collaboration with Asian Paints & Bosconet. With growing population rates and such a small percentage of all the water on Earth fit for consumption, it only makes sense that we must preserve and conserve this precious resource.
Water conservation means using our limited water supply wisely and caring for it properly. Since each of us depends on water to sustain life, it is our responsibility to learn more about water conservation and how we can help keep our sources pure and safe for generations to come. There are about 15 clubs to bring a timely awareness to save water.
Thus, an Awareness Campaign was organized on 22nd August 2019 in Pudimadaka & Jalarupalem areas of Visakhapatnam Rural. The campaign certainly brought about a change in the attitudes of the people. The children with placards and banners “Save Water”, “Jalame Manam, Jalame Dhanam, Jalame Balam” enriched the campaign to procure good results. Fr Salibindla Balashowry, the Director and Fr James Cheruvattur, the Administrator boosted up this campaign.
