Don Bosco Navajeevan, Vijayawada, 23 August 2019: Life is constantly on the move in search of livelihood. As parents move from place to place, the lives of thousands of children are trapped, forcing them to wipe off the dream of education from their minds.
Migration is a big force which affects the fundamental right of education. Addressing the global phenomenon of migration, Don Bosco Navajeevan Vijayawada stood strong to provide education to the migrant children. On 23rd August 2019, Rev. Fr Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, the Provincial inaugurated the bridge school for the migrant children in AIIMS campus, Mangalagiri. Fr Provincial in his message, asked the children whether they really went to school or not. In response to his question, all the 35 children said that they never went to any school. He then assured them that their dream to study would be realized through this bridge school. Meanwhile, Fr Provincial appreciated the efforts of Navajeevan in addressing this problem. The programme concluded with distribution of study material to all the migrant children.
