Don Bosco Pre-Novitiate, Wyra, 12 October 2019: The Pre-Novices of Don Bosco, Wyra played a friendly football match with the Heralds of Good News seminary Brothers at Khammam. In addition, a week of intense football coaching was given to the Pre-Novices by Bros. Velangini and Kranthi with the encouragement of the dean of studies Fr Salibindla Marreddy. During this period, the Pre-Novices were taught the rules and technique of the game. The coaching was seriously conducted early in the mornings and in the evenings for about two hours each. The Pre-Novices, 16 of them showed keen interest to learn the game. The coaching was systematically planned and executed by the brothers.
During the match, the Pre-Novices gave a tough fight to the opposite team though they lost to HGN brothers with a score 0-2. It was a pleasant experience for the Pre-Novices, going out and playing with an outside team. Though the match ended up in a loss, the Pre-novices were happy with their performance. The HGN team consisted of selected players from Philosophy and Theology section. Some of them were seasoned players from North East.
It was definitely a coming together of brothers with a friendly match, the sole purpose of which was to improve the talents and to endorse the friendship and cheer.
