Don Bosco Shrine, Bandlaguda, 02 February 2020: 36 Children from Don Bosco
Shrine, Bandlaguda Jagir, Hyderabad received Jesus for the very first time on January 2, 2020 on the feast day of the Shrine Parish. Fr Swarna Bernard was the main celebrant, while Fr Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, the Provincial, Fr B Rayappa, Fr Sudhakar con-celebrated at the solemn Eucharist.
The holy Eucharist began with a procession from the entrance at 10.30 am. Fr. Swarna Bernard in his homily spoke about our commitment towards God and Gods faithfulness. The mass ended with a short felicitation to the Main celebrant and issuance of certificates for the First Holy Communicants and those who received the sacrament of Confirmation by Fr Provincial. The melodious Parish choir did their job through their excellent performance. In addition, a dummy copy of the the hymnal “Bosco Geetha Malika” was released by Msgr Swarna Bernard. The hymnal in Telugu and English would be printed and published soon.
During the short programme, the communicants celebrated by cutting the cake, the parish priest said expressed his appreciation for the children, their parents and the community.
The children expressed gratitude towards their parents, priests, teachers and all the parishioners through songs.
