Don Bosco Navajeevan Visakhapatnam, 31 January 2020: Don Bosco Navajeevan Visakhapatnam celebrated the feast of Don Bosco at Beach Blossom School in Jalaripalem/Beach Road. 120 children, 20 staff working with Navajeevan Bala Bhavan and 6 novices from St Ann’s of Luzen participated in feast Day Celebrations. Mrs Nagamani, the Project Director, GVMC, Mr Pydiraju and local leaders attended the celebrations and paid their respect to Don Bosco through garlands and flowers.
In his words of welcome Fr Balashowry, Director, Navajeevan spoke about the St Don Bosco. He shared with the group that Don Bosco was born on 16th, August 1815 in a poor family in Italy. He dedicated his entire life for the Salvation of youth and children. In order to serve them he founded the Salesians of Don Bosco and others. Instantly, the guests and the participants paid the tribute to Don Bosco by garlanding to the picture of Don Bosco and prayed for his blessings.
The chief guest Mrs Nagamani, the project Director GVMC acknowledged the yeomen services of Don Bosco Navajeevan and assured her support for the smooth functioning of the Beach Blossom School. She also suggested to start the tuition centres for the high school children in Jalaripalem to support the high school children in the area.
During the celebrations the children from Beach Blossom & Suraksha schools, Novices and the staff performed dances. Later, the Navajeevan staff conducted the games competitions for the children in the beach and distributed the prizes to the winners in the competitions. The programme was concluded with the festive lunch at 2 pm.
In the evening, Don Bosco feast was celebrated at Bosco Illu, Sabbavaram. Fr Balashowry, Fr James and Fr Jeevan sdb, newly ordained priest from Narisipatnam celebrated the Mass. During the Mass Fr Jeevan highlighted the greatness of Don Bosco and he appealed to the children to follow his virtues and become good believers in God and Honest citizens of the country. After the Mass, the staff of Bosco Illu felicitated the Don Bosco priests. After a while, children and youth performed cultural programme with Pop Music and entertained the crowd. The programme ended with the Community Agape at 10 pm.
