Don Bosco School, Gunadala, 9 March 2020: The campus of Don Bosco School, Gunadala, Carmel Nagar ignited with the joy as it celebrated the 1st Annual day. It was indeed a marvellous and splendid celebration as out of 480 students, 400 of them actively participated in the program. The programme was systematically planned and organized with the school motto: Virtue, Knowledge and Excellence.

Fr Garalapati Michael Kishore, the correspondent welcomed the gathering in his words of welcome for the First Annual Day of the School since its inception. The Chief Guest Smt. Mrs Rajayalaxmi Garu (DEO for Vijayawada Region), Guests of Honour: Rev. Fr Vatti Rayappa (Rector of Philosophate – Karunapuram), Smt. Mrs Chadrakala (Dy EO of Vijayawada Region), Shri. Mr Vinay Mohan (Circle inspector of Police – Machavarm), Special Guests: Rev. Fr Mariadas (Parish preist – Carmel Nagar), Rev. Sr Roja Pushpa (Provincial – St. Ann’s of Luzern), were invited to the dais. Rev. Fr Vatti Rayappa spoke about the importance of education in a child’s life as it gives knowledge of the world around us. He said told that it develops in us a perspective of looking at life. It is the most important element in the evolution of the nation. Without education, one will not explore new ideas. It means one will not able to develop the world because without ideas there is no creativity and without creativity, there is no development of the nation.

On the other hand Rev. Fr Mariadas said “Reading books makes children lively while using mobile kills the cognitive mind; therefore one should inculcate the habit of reading books with dignity in the society”. Mrs Usha Rani, one of the teachers proposed a vote of thanks and thanked everyone for making the first annual day a success. She too congratulated Fr Garalapati Michael Kishore, the correspondent, Fr Pasala Bahskar, the Principal who led the school to its heights in just a short span of one year; appreciated all the teachers who have choreographed the dances and skits. The Annual Day ended with a national anthem.
