Sacred Heart Novitiate, Manoharabad: 19 October 2019: The community of Sacred Heart Novitiate, Manoharabad is delighted at the opening of the new computer lab for the novices.
The institution marked its Silver Jubilee of starting in Manoharabad this year. Some generous benefactors came forward to help in setting up a new computer lab, through the agency of Fr. Sarath the vocation promoter, Fr Ashok the delegate for social communication and Mr Joseph the computer mechanic, past pupil of this institution. They were formed here in order to show their gratitude and took up this great initiative. Fr Sarath and Fr Ashok visited the novitiate frequently and gave suggestions and support to Fr Charan, the administrator and the dean of studies, in setting up the new computer lab.
The work began on 09th July 2019 and was completed by 12th September 2019. All the needed electrical wiring, networking etc. was done by two novices Sathya and Raja themselves. Finally, the official inauguration was on 19th October 2019 by Fr Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, the Provincial.
Novices had a tough time when they were using the old computers. There were few computres in a working condition. Hence, the novices found it difficult to use their time in learning the basics of computer mainly typing.
At present, there are 12 computers in the lab. The novices find it easy to access the computers for typing. The benefactors are remembered for this wonderful initiative. A special note of thanks to Fr Kannadipara Mathew, the Novice Master and Fr Charan, the administrator, for their close follow up in setting up this new computer lab
