Don Bosco College, Chandur, 6 April 2020: It’s a time of distress and suffering due to the outbreak of Covid -19. Despite the lockdown in and around the country, Don Bosco college came up with a helping hand to the poor in the surrounding areas of Chandur town, Nalgonda Dt., Telangana.

The outreach programme began with tips of awareness on Covid-19 to eradicate this deadly disease and the precautions to be taken in order to wipe out the Corona Virus in the country.

The distribution of provisions included Rice, Dal, Sugar, Onions and Sanitary Napkins to the poor and needy. 250 kits were distributed to them. Special guests were Mr Upendar, SI, Chandur and Mr Srinu, Mandal Revenue Officer, Chandur who felt one with the poor and felt sympathy for them. Fr Wilson, the principal, instructed people to practise social distance, washing of hands, covering face with mask etc. Special thanks to the staff and students who took part in in packing and for distribution.
