St Paul’s Regional Seminary, Nuzvid, 13 April 2020: As the whole world is in need of healing and help due to pandemic covid -19, the Salesians at the Seminary have distributed some provisions (Rice, Dal, Oil and Eggs) to the poor families at NTR colony in Nuzvid where around 70 live together and solely depend on their daily labour for day-to-day living. The permission was obtained from the Nuzvid municipality commissioner to give a helping hand to the people. Fr Alex Jayaraj, the Administrator under the leadership of Fr Anil Gangarapu, the Rector and 4 seminarians were involved in this outdoor service to the poor families.
The Nuzvid Salesian Cooperators unit distributed provisions at Thukkulur: Salesian cooperators of the Nuzvid unit have come together to help some poor people who were finding difficult to have their daily food at Metlameeda, near to Thukkulur. They provided provisions (Rice, Dal, Oil, Onions, and Chili Powder) to 35 families. They have told people to strictly follow the social distance and expounded the precautionary guidelines of civil authorities in taking care of health and hygiene and to stay at home.
