DBHRDC, Church Gagillapur, 15 April 2020: Don Bosco Human Resource Development Centre (DBHRDC) has reached out to 200 families who are dependent on daily work in and around Dundigal area at construction sites. The local Corporator Shri Sudhakar Reddy (28 Ward-Dundigal Muncipality) briefly explained the struggles of these poor daily labourers to Fr Bellamkonda Sudhakar, Director-DBHRDC, during his visit to the Centre. Upon his request, the Director responded immediately as a sign of concern and solidarity.
Shri A Suresh, Commissioner, Dundigal Muncipalily, Shri Venu Gopal, Assistant Commissioner Dundigal Muncipalily, Fr Vijay, Parish Priest, St Ignatius Church, Church Gagillapur were present for the distribution avenue. The presence of volunteers during distribution was helpful to sort out the beneficiaries avoiding duplication. The people maintained Social Distancing throughout distribution avenue. The Shri Sudhakar Reddy, the Corporator has followed the instructions of the Government in announcing DO’s and DON’Ts of preventing Covid-19 through loudspeakers in the locality. He appreciated the relief services of DBHRDC during this lock-down period for the poor. In addition, he thanked the Commissioner and his Assistant (Dundigal Muncipality), the Parish Priest personally for their valuable presence.
