Don Bosco Premnivas, Mangalagiri, 19 December 2019: “Library stores energy that fuels the imagination. They open up windows to the world and inspire us to explore and achieve and contribute to improving our quality of life” Sidney Sheldon (American Writer and Producer).
On 82nd Birth Anniversary of Late Rev. Fr Chinnappan Thomas, the founder of Don Bosco Premnivas Mangalagiri, a new library has been blessed and inaugurated by Rev. Fr Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, the Provincial. Shri Gosala Anand Rao and Shri Katta Prakash the Directors of Vasthi Engineering Pvt. Ltd, Hyderabad have sponsored the library. Shri K Prakash is the past pupil of the institute, Don Bosco Premnivas, Mangalagiri. He had his schooling in Don Bosco Prem Nivas from 1990-2000. He cherished the love and care of the Salesians throughout his student life in Prennivas Mangalagiri and Don Bosco Navajeevan at Hyderabad. He had sweet memories as an employee in Don Bosco, Ongole. Nonetheless, God has blessed him abundantly by helping to become an entrepreneur in electronic industry. He, realized the importance of library in the institute at Don Bosco Premnivas. He willingly came forward to set up a good and smart library. The New Library is named after his company, “Vasthi Library”. The Library is helpful to 1300 students and teachers in the campus.
It is spacious with 12 tables and 80 chairs. There are 12 book racks with 3000 books belonging to various categories viz., Mathematics, Science, History, Languages, Personality Development etc. The donor made this library attractive to the students by installing a 65 inches smart Television with surround sound system and air-conditioning.
Fr Guntaka Marianna, the Rector, thanked everyone who were part of this noble work in establishing a good and smart library especially the sponsors Shri G Anand Rao and Shri K Prakash for their generosity. May the words of Sheldon and wish of the past pupil Shri K Prakash about this new library, becoming true soon. May this Library produce men and women of great learning and excellence in the field of Science, Literature, Economics and alike.
