Don Bosco Philosophate, Karunapuram, 17 December 2019: The community of Don Bosco Karunapuram had Semi-Christmas celebration on 19th December 2019 and it was graced by the chief celebrant of the day Fr Sudhakar the parish priest. He celebrated the festive Holy Eucharist and, in his sermon, highlighted the qualities of Jesus Christ, insisting on the gracious qualities of humility and sacrificial nature of Jesus. He told that Jesus took the human form to live with us and to experience our humanness. He insisted that we follow in his example and do what he has done. He exhorted all the brothers to take Jesus as an example and live like him.
After the Eucharist there was a blessing of the Crib that was prepared by the first-year brothers. It was so beautiful and artistically made. It captured the attention of all the visitors and depicted the Christmas atmosphere beautifully. The priests and religious of the neighbourhood appreciated it. Later, a cultural programme was put up and the carols added joy and life to the Christmas celebrations. At the end of the celebration all the confreres and the domestic staff received Christmas gifts. A magnificent supper prepared by Fr Administrator and the cooks. At the end of the programme Fr Vatti Rayappa, the Rector thanked Fr Sudhakar for celebrating mass and for the inspiring sermon
