Don Bosco Provincial House, Hyderabad, 24 April 2020: Celebrating the anniversary is a wonderful possibility to re-connect to one another. It is a moment of connecting life, ideas, commitment and a time to review the mission in serving the youth in the way of Don Bosco.
Thus, the 28th anniversary of the Birth of the Province was celebrated in a meaningful manner in the Provincial House campus. The sportive Volleyball match between Provincial House and BIRDY communities and a Holy Eucharist were the glimpses and peeks of festive ambience.
The Eucharist began at 7.00 pm. Fr Provincial in his homily, recalled the times of Don Bosco, and the expressions of his spirit, work and charism. In order to know the charism of Don Bosco better and give manifestation to the unique spirit of our context we can be enriched by sharing our collective identity, reinforcing our ties to each other, creating a sense of belonging to this large family of Salesians. He further fondly remembered the zealous work of the pioneers in the province, the Salesians who are in God’s abode, all the provincials who led the province until now and all those who put in their utmost efforts in shaping and transforming the lives of the poor and abandoned youth in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and South Odisha. The anniversary celebrations ended with an agape meal at the Provincial House.
