Don Bosco School, Gunadala, 09 August 2020: The parent conference provides the Management and the teachers an opportunity to work together as a team to help the children. Each have an important standpoint to share as the parent knows child’s personality, habits, strengths, and weaknesses. The teacher, on the other hand, has been trained professionally in the finest practices of teaching, meeting individual student’s requirements, to control classroom behaviour, and to help the children succeed in school. Working together, the Management and staff will find ways that each of them can provide the suitable and necessary support for the children.
However, the virtual parents’ meet this time focused on the discussion regarding conducting online classes for the children due to covid-19. The parents showed up for this online meet in good attendance. Prior to this, a survey was supervised on the competency and quality teaching of managing online classes by the teachers. It proved that the teachers have been trained well and teachers proved their proficiency up to 75%. Coping with the results of the survey, the patents have a positive attitude towards online classes for children. Fr Pasala Bhaskar, the Principal, and Fr Garlapati Michael Kishore, the correspondent on the other hand, conveyed to the parents that online classed are conducted and organized regardless of payment of the school fees in the academic year. He too appreciated the children who participated in the online fancy completions organized by Don Bosco Youth Services (BIRDY) and secured 1st prize accordingly.
The virtual Parents’ Meet concluded with general remarks by the Principal who spoke to the parents about their children in an ongoing fashion. He notified to them about class projects, homework and other assignments, students’ accomplishments, and any problems or concerns that may arise. Furthermore, he briefly explained the new National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) prepared by the Centreal Government.
