Don Bosco Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Guntur, 3 December 2020: Don Bosco ITI, Guntur organized a job mela for the outgoing trainees. There are about 87 trainees who completed their two years for training successfully and ready to enter into new face of life. Fr Sanjay Talari, the Principal of the college along with DHISHA the job placement cell of the province organized this job mela. Fr. Sarath the director of Dhisha and Mr Mohan the state coordinator invited different companies. Four companies namely Sodexo, Tyche Cast Tech Pvt. Ltd, The Schneider Electric and Shakthi Coromandel Pvt. Ltd interviewed the trainees. The employers were happy about the training and discipline of Don Bosco. The job mela started with words of welcome by the college Principal. The director of Dhisha introduced the employers individually to the trainees and their respective companies. After their initial presentation about their individual companies, the employers begun the interviews to examine the suitability of the trainees. The trainees were happy and enthusiastic to attend this job mela to get a job and to settle down in their life. The companies have assured them that they would come regularly to collaborate at the end of each academic year.

In addition, a new seminar hall was blessed and inaugurated on 3rd December 2020 on the feast of St Francis Xavier, the patron Saint of India by Fr Balaswamy Medabalimi the Rector and correspondent of the college. This is a sign of its path to stride development, at Don Bosco ITI. The newly blessed seminar hall can host any kind of seminar for one hundred people comfortably. Audio and video aids are added facilities to this seminar hall. It would be primarily used for the benefit of the ITI trainees and for their personality development through regular input sessions.
