BIRDY, 27 May 2023: A one-day seminar was organized for the youth of Salesian Parishes on 27th May 2023. There were 7 participants in the seminar. The program began with a short inauguration. “Though the number was small in number the program was very intensive, informative and beneficial,” said Angela an MTech student.
The program was animated on four important topics. The first topic Media and Prayer was animated by Bro. Castillino. He emphasized that media is an expression of higher and deeper values. Fr. Anthaiah, the Ph.D. student animated on the topic of Media and Scripture. The third topic was animated by Fr Ashok on Media and Church. He stressed that the church always encourages young people to use media to grow in holiness. Fr. Joji Yeruva, the youth ministry in charge of the province presented the challenges that young people face in the present day. All the topics were filled with a lot of information and filled with deep thoughts for reflection. The programme was concluded with a meaningful holy eucharistic celebration. Fr. Santiagu, the provincial of the province of Hyderabad presided over the celebration. At the end, each participant was given a blessing and a Rosary. The program ended with a short evaluation and thereafter with a meal.
