DBNJ Homes, Hyderabad 1 August 2015: We thank you O Lord……for Don Bosco these are the very words uttered by our Navajeevan children at Ramanthapur. Our campus was over thronged with Youngsters of Boiguda, Namapally, Ramanthapur and Vanasthalipuram girls which was opened just recently, “JAI HO Don Bosco” is the slogan which filled every bit of air of our campus. It was indeed a grand celebration which left a mark on every one on 1st of August 2015.
His grace Most Rev. Thumma Bala Arch Bishop of Hyderabad was the chief guest of the day and Fr. Raminedi Balaraju, Provincial, Province of St. Joseph, Hyderabad. Celebrations began with the meaning full holy Mass.
The Arch Bishop highlighted Don Bosco’s qualities and said “In the history of the Catholic Church Don Bosco is the ONLY saint who worked for saving the souls of the youngsters. He also mentioned how the Salesians’s mission is vibrant just because of its founders Legacy, his legacy is so rich even now it continuous with lot of passion for the youngsters. Added flavour to the celebration was Fr. Gnanam’s melodious choir.
As a tribute to Don Bosco there was a short cultural programme during which the Arch Bishop and Provincial were felicitated. Though the programme was short but meaningful and all the guests were appreciative of the performances of the children. Highly stimulating message and anecdote was shared by Fr.Balaraju in his speech during the programe, he said “Don Bosco was a Miracle worker” he had no money but he built Mighty Basilicas and he had no bakery but he fed the youngsters who were hungry. He does not have modern machinery but taught them skills for life.
Fr.Sudhakar the director & Rector of the institution said that that Navajeevan , Don Bosco is mother home for many youngster who are aspiring to come up in their life and it sheltered number of youngsters who need care and guidance and its ready to take advanced steps for increasing number of the youngsters on the streets of the city. It is a pleasure to work for the youth who will become “NAVAYOOGA NIRAMATHALU” (Architects of the new world”). It was the day which brought lot of joy in the lives of all who associated with Navajeevan Ramanthapur. All because of Don Bosco.
