St Michael’s Boys’Home, Guntur, 26 August 2019: Five Communities; Guntur, Ponnur, PT Parru, Ongole, Mangalagiri gathered in St. Micheaels Boys Home, Guntur on 26th August at 5pm for the tri-monthly recollection. Fr Rayappareddy Thirumalareddy, Pallotine, from Amaravathi preached recollection for the Salesians. The topic for the recollection was “Responding to God’s call”. He presented four salient themes 1. How are we initiated into faith (Parents are the sources)? 2. Listening to the word of God as Mary did; 3. Responding to the Word with a genuine commitment and dedication; 4. Prayer is the power house of life and apostolate. Instantly, Fr. Chinnabathuni Showrilu thanked the preacher for obliging to preach the recollection.
Later, from 6.30 pm, all gathered in the Parish Church for an adoration. During the adoration, Salesians made their confessions. Salesians are appreciative of preacher’s availability and inspiring talk on responding to God’s call. The tri-monthly recollection ended with a dinner. The Rectors of the Guntur region thanked Fr Louis, the regional coordinator who organized this recollection for the spiritual growth of the Salesians in order that each Salesian draws strength form the Lord to carry out the mission of Don Bosco in the vineyard of the Lord.
